After it is appraised by Vex during this quest, the stone is re-named "The Stone of Barenziah." Additional stones that you collect will also have this name. Somewhere in the introduction to the thieves guild, they mention that it would return to it's former glory if you do jobs for them - is this true? Does something change if you do some of the repeating quests? (Not talking about the thieve-story-quest here ofcourse) - Unsigned comment by 77.20.66.83 ( talk) at 15:53 on 13 November 2011 - yes apparently it is true and you have to establish the guild in every city by doing 5 quests there.
